Katrin Sommerfeld

Katrin Sommerfeld returned to Acadia’s Office of Industry & Community Engagement (ICE) as the Manager, Industry & Community Partnerships in Spring 2020. Originally from Germany, Katrin came to Nova Scotia in 1998 with a Master’s in Chemistry and brings with her over 20 years of experience in project and program development and management, laboratory research and management, financial management and communications. At ICE she is responsible for connecting Acadia’s expertise with industry, government, and community groups, identifying and supporting project development, research funding applications, considerations for intellectual property protection, and agreements drafting and execution.
