Increased efficiency virtually
Increasing productivity is a by word in every industry and ICT is no exception in wanting to increase their efficiency. Missing Link Technologies is a SME that helps companies do just that.
Today, the New Brunswick company is adding value to ICT service providers by delivering customized and efficient solutions, like software & database development and network &IT facilities management.
In 2015 the Industry Liaison and Technology Transfer office at St. Francis Xavier University referred Missing Link Technologies to the Office of Innovation and Community Engagement (OICE) at Saint Mary's University (SMU). Both academic institutions are members of the Springboard Atlantic network. SMU's Office of Industry and Community Engagement connected Dr. Pawan Lingras, professor in Mathematics and Computing Science with Missing Link Technologies and a successful match was made.
OICE guided the new partners on the appropriate funding resources for their proposed project. Missing Link Technologies was awarded a National Research Council – Industrial Research Assistance Program(NRC-IRAP) fund for Dr. Lingras to collect preliminary data to assist with developing software for the company. The outcome of the NRC-IRAP project was crucial in securing an Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Engage Grant with Missing Link Technologies, which has led to an ongoing collaboration under the NSERC Collaborative Research Development (CRD) program.
