Beyond commercialization, the network is dedicated to capacity building within the institutions and within industry and networking and relationship building. While Springboard members are integrated into their member institutions and their titles and offices may have different names, talking to one of them is talking to all of Springboard. We are a network of people and connections that drive Atlantic growth.
“President & CEO ”
This phase' highlights report is a celebration of the continued growth and opportunity being realized across our region. While it showcases some of the amazing research and ideas being nurtured by our 19 institutions, it also marks the beginning of a new era of regional support for commercialization activity.
The ideas that have received support and the companies that have received help over the last three years of the Springboard mandate are literally helping to save lives and change the way we interact with the world.
I'm also confident that many of these amazing discoveries and ideas would not have come to light if it were not for the continued hard work of our members and the support of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA). The success we have seen highlights what happens when our three levels of government, our institutions and our Atlantic Canadian businesses work together.
A recent article from Springboard in Canadian Innovation News highlights the growth in the start-up ecosystem across Atlantic Canada in just the last decade. That growth, coupled with the support from our network has been #springboarding this region forward.
We have strengthened our regional and national partnerships, added to our network and broadened our reach within the investor and business communities.
It has once again been my privilege to work with the people that make up the Springboard network. Their passion for Atlantic growth and prosperity is helping to drive our region forward and positioning us as equals on the global commercialization stage.
